Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be 62 years or older
- Must have CWLP electric service in their name
- Must have a total household income not exceeding 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
(In 2025, the maximum qualifying income is $46,950 for a single-person household and $63,450 for a multi-person household.)
Eligible CWLP customers can sign up for the Senior Citizen Discount at the CWLP Customer Service Office at Municipal Center West - 300 S. 7th Street - Room 101. Be sure to bring one of the following documents to prove your age: a valid driver's license, State of Illinois ID Card, birth certificate, or Medicare Card. Also bring all applicable documents to prove your income eligibility: wage statements, first page of your Federal Income Tax Form 1040, Social Security benefit statement, retirement/pension information, interest/dividend income statements, and Circuit Breaker Form.
