Water Crew Foreman Kevin McCarthy was awarded for achieving the Illinois Potable Water Supply Operators Association's Distribution Operator of the Year Award in September at their annual conference. Kevin began at CWLP as a Water Service Maintenance Man in 1988 and has been in his role as Foreman since 2004.
The Illinois Potable Water Supply Operators Association (IPWSOA) was formed in the fall of 1931 by the Illinois Board of Health. Operators meet regulatory officials to listen to presentations regarding health and safety issues for drinking water, new laws and rules, potable water production, distribution, monitoring, and the competent operation of drinking water facilities.
