There are thousands of trees across CWLP’s electric service territory, which beautify and add great benefit to our community. Although most trees do not present a problem, some of are planted too close to power lines and are a leading cause of power outages.
As a reliable power provider, CWLP contracts for trimming trees and other vegetation away from power lines to reduce risks of power outages. Trees and branches in close proximity to power lines can also pose a fire and safety risk, causing electric system damage and the lights in your house to flicker.
