Power Restoration Updates Beginning Fri June 12

UPDATE 11:15 AM: Customer outages are down to 2,033 customers. CWLP and contract crews are assigned around the City where poles are being replaced, limbs are being cleared and electric repairs are being completed to get power restored to all customers as quickly and safely as possible.

Among the largest current outage areas:
-180 and 198 in Indian Hills and Northgate (expecting Ameren work to be complete by 1 pm)
-223 W of N MacArthur W Calhoun & W Reynolds near Duncan Park
-133 S Koke Mill area near Ginger Creek Dr and Conner Dr (3 broken poles with transformer equip, several hours)
-132 Rickard Rd area (expecting to restore by 2pm)
-48 other scattered pockets around the city.

UPDATE 6:30 AM: Customer outages are down to 3,800 customers.

Among the largest outage areas:
-1594 out of Durkin substation S of W Washington to Old Jacksonville Rd.
-223 Madison St. area near Duncan Park
-198 Northgate area
-180 Indian Hills (Awaiting Ameren crews to return Friday morning)
- 167 Southern View area near Rt. 66 Hotel
-159 along W Monroe between W Washington and Old Jacksonville Rd.
-63 other scattered pockets around the city.

UPDATE 5 AM: Follow our outage updates here for work and progress beginning Friday, June 12.
Thursday night there were over 11,000 customers without power across 64 outage areas. Damage assessments found multiple snapped poles, and widespread tree and limb damage throughout the system. Working through the night, crews had customer outages down to 7,800 by 2:30 a.m., 5,600 by 4 a.m., and 4,600 by 5 a.m. With 13 distribution feeders out, crews have restored 10 of those.

Among the largest outage areas:
-1594 out of Durkin substation S of W Washington to Old Jacksonville Rd.
-911 in Outer Park Drive and E Ash area (should be restored soon)
-223 Madison St. area near Duncan Park 
-180 Indian Hills (Awaiting Ameren crews to return Friday morning) 
-69 other scattered pockets around the city.

With all available resources, including CWLP crews in the field from Electric Operations Troubleshooters, Construction, Substations, Relay, Traffic, Communications, and other support divisions, progress had been made but more work is to be done until all customers are restored power.  

Staff are reviewing outage and damage reports received through Dispatch at 217-789-2121 to ensure no reported issues are overlooked. If you have already reported your outage, you do not need to call back and leave another message.
We appreciate our customers' patience. Our employees are committed to restoring power to every affected customer as safely and efficiently as possible while protecting both the public and our crews in the field.

NOTE FOR INDIAN HILLS: Customers in Indian Hills will remain without power until Ameren crews return on site Friday morning to complete their work for equipment attached to our pole
