CWLP's Quentin Jordan Earns Lake Guardian Award

March 2, 2026

At the 2026 annual conference of the Illinois Lakes Management Association, CWLP’s Quentin Jordan was presented its Lake Guardian Award. Each year, the ILMA Board and membership honor a lake professional or volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to preserving the quality of Illinois lakes. ILMA’s mission is to promote understanding and comprehensive management of lake and watershed ecosystems.

Quentin, an Engineering Technician III in CWLP's Water Division, is responsible for a number of lake quality programs at Lake Springfield. His work in watershed monitoring, bathymetric, shoreline, and sedimentary surveying and a number of other water protection programs have contributed to making a meaningful difference for Lake Springfield. This work has also been impactful across the ILMA lake management community as well as with a number of local CWLP partners, including the Department of Environmental Studies at UIS, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Division of Water and the National Resources Conservation Service.

Congratulations Quentin!
