CWLP water crews are beginning emergency repairs to a broken water transmission main at the intersection of 9th and Madison Streets. The northbound lanes on 9th Street are closed to traffic between Jefferson and Madison Streets. The three south lanes of eastbound Madison Street are closed at the intersection, with traffic detouring southbound onto 9th Street. The north curb lane on Madison Street remains open to through traffic during this work. This work is expected to last a day, and traffic lanes will remain closed until road surface repairs are complete.Motorists should plan for alternative routes, slow down, and be aware of the construction, repair crews, and equipment in and near roadways.
