Springfield, Ill.—City Water, Light and Power (CWLP) reminds residential customers that its Level Payment Plan offers a simple way to set up a predictable monthly bill payment. The plan allows customers to pay the same amount each month for electric, water, and sewer service, making household budgeting easier year-round.

A typical CWLP residential customer sees seasonal changes in electric and water usage, with higher bills during summer cooling months. Rather than paying for actual usage each billing period, the Level Payment Plan averages a home’s electric, water, and sewer usage over the previous 12 months to create one steady monthly payment.

To enroll, residential customers must have an account in good standing and sign up through mycwlp.com or by contacting CWLP Customer Service at 217-789-2030. Each participant receives a customized payment amount based on their individual usage history. Monthly billing statements show both the payment level amount due and how it applies to actual usage. Accounts are reviewed annually and payment amounts may be adjusted if usage changes significantly.
