We are once again opening enrollment in our Helping Homes Weatherization program! This unique and special assistance opportunity is geared towards helping low-income homeowners reduce their energy costs through installation of new energy-saving retrofits in their homes. Since inception of this program, over 200 homes have been retrofit and upgraded for CWLP electric customers, helping Springfield residents reduce their utility bills and stay more comfortable year-round!
Standard upgrades may include:
- Insulation
- Central air conditioner or heat pump replacement
- Caulking and weather-stripping
- Lighting upgrades
- And other energy-saving measures
Selected applicants will be scheduled for a home energy audit to determine the type of retrofit for weatherization and efficiency improvements needed. All retrofit work will be completed at no cost to those awarded participation in the Helping Homes program by approved and qualified contractors.
