CWLP Warns Against Employee Imposters
CWLP General Manager Todd Renfrow is warning area
residents to be wary of persons posing as utility employees or contracted
employees of the City. The notice came after reports from customers of
suspicious people requesting access to their homes to check for water leaks.
A CWLP employee will always have an employee badge and
city vehicle and will never ask for money. Contracted employees also would
not appear at a customer's home without prior notice or proper
identification.
If you encounter individuals who claim to work for the
utility but who are unable to provide identification or seem suspicious, you
are urged to contact the police.
