Home Efficiency Handbook: The Home Efficiency Handbook is designed to help you understand the factors that affect your home energy costs and comfort and to teach you the steps you can take to lower your energy consumption, save money and increase comfort. The Handbook covers a wide range of efficiency-related topics and contains efficiency-improvement recommendations.

The key to saving home energy is two-fold. First, you must understand the factors that can affect your home's efficiency level — which this book helps you do. Heat Pump: The All-Season Comfort System: For many Springfield homes and businesses, a high-efficiency heat pump is likely to be the most economical year-round comfort system available -- providing lower cost heating and cooling than either fossil fuel furnace/central air conditioner or electric resistance furnace/central air conditioner combinations. Installing heat pumps in their homes and offices can also qualify City Water, Light and Power customers for CWLP's Heat Pump Rebate program.

It also provides price and style information and informs you of which lamps are: dimmable; magnetically ballasted; and particularly suited to use in outdoor fixtures and reading lamps.
