Sign Up For New Service

If you are a first-time CWLP customer wishing to obtain service, you will need to apply in person to the:

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, except holidays.
To save time when you come to the Customer Service Office to apply for new service, you can download and print a copy of the New Customer Application, fill it in and bring it with you. If you are seeking electric service for construction of a new commercial facility or for an upgrade of electric service in an existing commercial facility, you will need to complete the Application for Commercial Service. A copy of this form is available online and may be filled in and submitted electronically or printed and returned manually.
CWLP must receive your Application for New Service (or Application for Commercial Service) at least 48 hours before your need.


Applicants for new service:
  n must complete a service application.
  n must provide proof of ownership of or the lease agreement to the property that will be receiving service.
  n will be required to pay a service deposit if they are renting their residence or business property and if they have not previously had at least twelve months of CWLP service with no more than two late payment penalties. (Contact the Customer Service Office for exceptions to this rule.) The service deposit must be paid by cash, money order or cashier's check.
  n must provide two forms of identification, at least one of which must bear a photograph of the holder (e.g., driver's license, state ID card, FOID card). Non-photo IDs can include social security cards and credit cards.
  n must provide your social security number.
