Lake Springfield Land Use Plan
The Lake Springfield Land Use
Plan was adopted to preserve the amenities of the area by defining the uses
and guiding the management of lake lands. The plan sets forth five primary
policies regarding:
| 1. |
the establishment of five land use
categories and limits on activities allowed in each. |
| 2. |
the requirement that the public be
notified of and allowed input into plans that would substantially
change the principal use of any of the five categories. |
| 3. |
the regulation of leases and sales of
marginal lands. |
| 4. |
the regulation of existing leaseholds
and conversion of existing properties to new uses. |
| 5. |
a commitment to preserve, protect and
develop wildlife preserves, green spaces and lake parks according to
their unique characteristics. |
