Lake Springfield offers eight public parks with 35 picnic areas, two recreation buildings, and eight softball diamonds which can be reserved for special events.  Select the Special Facilities option, below, for information about special features of the parks, including facilities that can be reserved.  To reserve any lake park facility, call 757-8660, ext.1011.

The parks owned and operated by CWLP are:

Bridgeview Park Center Park Complex
East Cottonhill Park West Cottonhill Park
East Tom Madonia Park West Tom Madonia Park
Lake Park Wildlife Sanctuary

The utility also owns and manages the Lick Creek Wildlife Preserve at the far western end of the lake.

East Tom Madonia Park and West Tom Madonia Park are accessible to people with physical disabilities.  In addition, East Tom Madonia Park contains recreational equipment especially designed for disabled persons.

Center Park contains a boat launch that is accessible by wheelchair.

All parks are equipped with restrooms. Handicap-accessible temporary restrooms are available at Center Park and Bridgeview Park from April through mid-October.

Most of the parks are closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., although certain reserved facilities may be kept open as late as midnight. Tom Madonia East and West Parks close at 9 p.m.

In addition to the CWLP-owned and managed parks and facilities, the lake area also boasts a golf course, a children's zoo and a nature garden.
