If you are a new customer wishing to obtain service you will need to apply in person to the Customer Service Office at the address given above. All applicants will be required to complete a service application and provide proof of ownership or the lease agreement to the property that is to receive service. A service deposit may be required of residential and business applicants who are renting their property and who have not previously had at least twelve consecutive months of CWLP service with fewer than two late payment penalties. (You should contact the Customer Service Office for exceptions to this rule.) In addition, residential applicants must provide two forms of identification, at least one of which must bear a photograph of the holder (e.g., driver's license, state ID card, FOID card).  Examples of secondary forms of identification that may be used are social security cards and credit cards. To save time when you come to the Customer Service Office to apply for new service, you can download and print a copy of the Application for New Service, fill it in and bring it with you.

If you are a current customer who is moving to another location in CWLP's service territory, you can change your service address either in person at the address given above, or by calling 789-2030, or by filling out and submitting our online Application for Transfer of Service to a New Location.  You will need to provide your name, new address and your social security number. Call-in hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to noon, Saturday.

If you are a current customer seeking to terminate service, you can also do this in person or by calling 789-2030, or by filling out and submitting our online Application for Termination of Service.  You will need to give your name, address and social security number. Call-in hours are the same as for customers requesting a change of service address.

CWLP requires that you apply for new service or request a change of address or service termination 48 hours prior to your need.
